Ultimate Angler Challenge fishing tournament.
Well our 4th event of the Ultimate Angler Challenge Series, in our first year. We had a hot, sunny day with clear skies. Rush Lake had lots of fish and recreational boating going on. We had a great host, Ray from Ray's Bait and Tackle, Rush City. His great shop is right beside the Public DNR boat ramp.
The winners today were Ross Korpela and Pat Day with a three species bag including a largemouth bass, and limits of bluegills and crappies. Second place went to Matt and Steve with another 3 species bag including a largemouth, crappies and a limit of bluegills. Third place went to Dan Blomquist and Derek Tetens with the only walleye and some bluegills.
Everyone was a great sport and had fun out fishing.
Congratulations to everyone and especially Pat Day and Ross Korpela, see ya at Big Sandy Lake in McGregor on August 26th. We hope to see anyone interested in a shot at over $1,000 in cash prizes and learning more about fishing.
